Welcome to the InnovationSpace
Looking to check out Multimedia Equipment?I am a Student I am Faculty/Staff
Student Resources Have Moved to Newman Library!
To centralize student-oriented technology services, we have moved our lab computers and multimedia equipment to the Torgersen Bridge. Services previously offered at the InnovationSpace will soon be available on the Newman Library side of the bridge. You can also find 4Help and the Software Service Center on the Torgersen Bridge.
In the coming weeks, University Libraries will be sharing more information about their new Digital Media Studio, which will provide many similar services to those previously offered at the InnovationSpace. In the meantime, if you need to use specialized software or check out multimedia equipment, please visit the circulation desk near the second-floor entrance of Newman Library.
Faculty Offerings at the InnovationSpace
With the consolidation of student services in the library, we now can focus on our core mission: improving student learning by helping faculty pursue opportunities for innovation in technology-enhanced learning. Our remaining multimedia equipment and lab computers are reserved for faculty use, and we hope you will continue to see us a resource for your digital media needs—especially those related to your teaching.
In addition, this fall we are offering several new services to support faculty, from learning technology micro-grants, to usability testing, to design thinking exercises, to collaborative meeting spaces. Please stop by 1140 Torgersen Hall to see the remodeled space, schedule a time to use our facilities, or propose an idea for a “sandbox project” that could have a positive impact in the courses you teach.
Are you a faculty member interested in proposing a Sandbox project?
Share some information about the project you have in mind using our sandbox proposal form. We will review your project and contact you to schedule a follow-up meeting.
